For many developers of high-end residential real estate, the backup power decision can be a sticky one. Generators, while widely used, can be unreliable, require regular maintenance, and pollute the air with unseemly noise and fumes. A generator is a blunt tool for an important task and now there is a much better option available.
Introducing the Gaia PowerTower for Backup, the first battery-based backup system for residences. At all times, the unit intelligently monitors the electricity coming into the house, eliminating any surges, sags, or gaps in the power supply. For homes in weather-prone areas, pumps are kept running, alarm systems remain up and equipment is protected. Best of all, it does all of this instantly, automatically and completely quietly, without any supervision or intervention needed by the owner.
Gaia's standard-sized unit can power a 2000 sq. ft house long enough to get through 95% of all power outages. For larger houses or when longer back-up time is required, the unit's modular design makes it easy to add battery or power modules, ensuring a custom backup power solution that is right for any sized home. The unit can be configured for 120 or 240V service and for 1-3 phase power. In all configurations, the Gaia PowerTower for Backup is easily installed by an electrician, and requires no special mounting, wiring, or digging.
